The Golden Chariot Train is a luxury train in India travelling in which one can explore the timeless historical Heritage sites, resplendent palaces, and wildlife and golden beaches of Goa. Besides visiting the places of historical importance, one will get the chance to explore more of rural India and its mysteries. The Golden Chariot Tour starts on every Monday from Bangalore and ends at next Monday morning at Bangalore.
Day-01: Arrival at Bangalore (Monday)
After your arrival at the airport, you will be taken to a hotel. After refreshment, start visit to the places of the Silicon city of India. Visit Tipu’s Wooden Palace, Bull temple. You can enjoy the nature walk at Lalbagh Botanical Garden. Then drive to Yeshwanthpur Railway Station and board your train. You will feel warm welcome while boarding in the train for your luxury train tour in India. Have your onboard dinner and stay overnight at the train.
Day-02: At Kabini (Tuesday)

After your breakfast, the train will depart to Srirangapatna. Today you will see the Mysore city, for its resplendent palaces and majestic buildings. You will feel the affluence of music and dance, art and literature while in Mysore. Visit the Chamundi Hills, Tipu’s Palace, Mysore Palace and other nearby places of importance. Buy some souvenirs to make your journey memorable. Mysore is known for its sandalwood and silks.
The luxury train Golden Chariot will reach Hassan, the gateway to Belur and Halebid. Your 4th day luxury train tour in Golden Chariot will offer you opportunity to enjoy religious sights. Explore the timeliness beauties of Hoysala temple architecture at Belur and Halebid. Visit Jain Pilligrimage Centre at Shravanabelagola and trek in Indragiri Hill to witness the world’s tallest monolith Lord Gommateshwara Statue. Drive back to your train and rest for the night.
Day-05: At Hampi (Friday)
The ruins and survival temples and architectures of Hampi will get back to you past history of India. Hampi, a world Heritage site, earlier was the centre of Vijayanagar Empire before the invasion of the Mughals. Visit the Virupaksha temple complex (Hampi Sacred Centre), Vittala Temple Complex and Royal centre. If you are a shopaholic, buy something at the Craft Bazaar. Cruise down to Anegundi village over the Tunga Varda River. Return to your train and have onboard dinner.
Day-06: At Gadag (Aihole), Pattadakal, Badami (Saturday)
The train will start its journey to Gadag, also known as the Cradle of Hindu Temple Architecture. Visit the temples and caves here. Explore the temples of Pattadakal located on the banks of Malaprabha River. Then visit Badami, a world Heritage site, perched on two hills, is a home to exquisite sculpture and red sandstone cliffs. The train will depart to Goa.
Day-07: Goa (Sunday)
Your 7th day of the luxury train tour in India will take you to Goa, the Tourist’s Paradise. As it was a Portuguese Colony since 1961, there is still a colonial culture. Visit to the Candolim Beach and have sunbath at the sea. Enjoy some sea foods at a seaside restaurant in your lunch. In the afternoon drive to Old Goa and visit Solar De Colasco, an Old Portuguese House, Basilica of Bom Jesus Church, a World Heritage site. In the night the train will drive to Bangalore.
Day-08: Departure to Bangalore (Monday)
Your Golden Chariot itinerary will end today. Your train will reach Bangalore before noon. Leave the train and drive to Airport to take your home flight.
