Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is a reformed version of the pre existing luxury train, Palace on Wheels.  This superbly luxurious train will begin its first ever journey on 11th January, 2009.  On this date India will get a more affluent and avid alternative to other luxury trains in India with the flag waving of Royal Rajasthan on Wheel and the passengers will enjoy the experience of travelling in style.

For those interested in exploring the vast sub continent of India by train can now do it in complete style and comfort.  The train is aimed at replicating much more success than its forbearers such as Palace on Wheels which is also rated as one of the 10 best luxury trains in the world.  The train will have the same route as Palace on Wheels which will provide the guests to visit the glorious cities of India beginning at Delhi and including other cities such as Jaipur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Bharatpur and Agra. 

Day 01: Arrival at Delhi (Sunday)

Your fascinating ride to the splendid cities of Rajasthan will be made more charming with your stay in Royal Rajasthan on Wheels.  As the guests will arrive at Delhi Airport our representative will welcome them in the most traditional style with fresh flowers and will escort you to a hotel where you will freshen up to get a glimpse of the capital city. 

Guests will be taken to the famous sightseeing attractions of Delhi such as India Gate, Gandhi Memorial and other Victorian style buildings.  Thereafter you will board your train to begin your Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Luxury Tour in the evening.  Spend the night on board.

Day 02: Arrival at Jaipur (Monday)

Disembark the train on this day in the morning and set off for a magical view of the Pink City of Rajasthan.  Guests will enjoy a sightseeing tour of the region as part of your luxury train tour in India.  First visit the Hawa Mahal a fabulous building with windows for erstwhile royal ladies to enjoy the view of the city.  Thereafter visit the gigantic Amber Fort on an elephant back. 

The shopaholic can buy some exquisite pieces of jewellery, handicraft, carpets and pottery from here.  Thereafter return back to your ride for further exploration of yet another gorgeous city late in the evening.

Day 03: Arrival at Bikaner (Tuesday)

Your Rajasthan tour will reach another fascinating halt for sometime at Bikaner as you will arrive here early in the morning.  Enjoy a sumptuous meal prepared by the expert chefs of the train and then you will be taken for a tour of the regal city.  Bikaner is considered one of the finest tourist destinations in the Desert region of Rajasthan.  Guests will visit some of the major highlights such as its eloquent forts, splendid palaces, stupendous temples and classic museums. 

Thereafter return to the train before evening as the train will depart for another expedition to Jaisalmer and you will enjoy a delicious dinner on board itself.

Day 04: Arrival at Jaisalmer (Wednesday)

On the fourth day of this Indian luxury train tour you will arrive on the soil of Jaisalmer very early in the morning and thus spend some of your time onboard enjoying your morning meal in the care of the hospitable staff here.  Thereafter guests will enjoy getting introduced to the mighty Jaisalmer the city of Maharajas, located in the heart of Thar Desert. 

Well known for its Havelis and glorious structures the city will offer numerous options for sightseeing such as Nathmalji- ki- Haveli, Patwon- ki- Haveli and Salim-ki- Haveli.  Return to the train by late evening to reach the next destination Jodhpur next morning.

Day 05: Arrival at Jodhpur (Thursday)

As you arrive at Jodhpur you will be able to view the sunrise with a fascinating regal backdrop after which you will begin your morning of this Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Luxury Tour with a delectable meal.  Get going on a sightseeing tour of the stone wall studded city built in 1459 A.D. 

First visit the elegant citadels such as Mehrangarh Fort, Mothi Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana to get a glimpse of the royal excesses of the bygone era.  Enjoy the lunch at one of the fancy restaurants here and return back to the train early evening to push off for another journey. 

Day 06: Arrival at Udaipur- Chittorgarh- Bharatpur (Friday)

Thereafter guests will return to their luxury coach by late afternoon to board the train for another ride to Chittorgarh. At Chittorgarh your experience will be most incredible as you will enjoy another sightseeing tour to the famous abode of Rajputana warriors.  Guests will visit the fort on the hill, Rana Kumbha Palace and its renowned museums and temples.  Then return back to the train by evening to get going for the next journey this time to Bharatpur.

Day 07: Arrival at Bharatpur- Agra- New Delhi (Saturday)

By the time Saturday comes guests will be reaching Bharatpur very early in the morning.  On this day of your elite luxury train tour in North India guests will go bird watching in the famous sanctuary for birds, Ghana National Park to explore wide variety of migratory and aquatic birds to spot birds such as Egrets, Siberian Cranes and more.  Return back to your train and then get ready for another journey in the morning itself.

Day 08: Arrival at New Delhi- Departure (Sunday)
